OUR STORY

The Strabon Hotel opened its doors in 2018 intending to offer a quality and stylish accommodation for travelers who love to explore without sacrificing the comforts of being like home. Our name is inspired by STRABO (63 BC–c. 24 AD) an ancient Greek geographer, philosopher, and historian whose life was characterized by his extensive travels.

Strabo is best known for his work Geographica ("Geography"), which presented a descriptive history of people and places from different regions of the world known during his lifetime. Consisting of 17 volumes of a detailed description of the world as it was known in antiquity, they are of great value, especially as testimony, due to their extensive observations.

From their data, it has been possible to reconstruct maps that show the image of the world of Strabo and his contemporaries.
